Global mobile phone sales in 2008 amounted to 1.24 billion the same period last year by 10%

According to market research firm Strategy Analytics recently published research report claimed that the global mobile phone sales in 2008 will reach 1.24 billion over 2007’s 1.12 billion up 10 percent.
This research company said fourth-quarter 2007 global handset sales to 332 million over the fourth quarter of 2006, up 13 percent. Nokia’s fourth-quarter sales of 134 million mobile phones, of the global mobile phone market share of 40% in the first row. Samsung Electronics ranked second. Motorola ranked third. Sony Ericsson’s growth rate has dropped to the lowest level in the past three years.
Developing regions, particularly in Africa, will continue to promote the growth of the global mobile phone market sales of the main factors. At the same time, the saturation of the European market in 2008 sales still sluggish.
