Samsung Shows Tiny Handheld Projector

Samsung is showing off its diminutive MBP-100 Micro Projector at GSMA. The 10 ansi lumen beam comes out of a box measuring a mere 7×7x2.6 cm (2.8×2.8×1 inches).

The demo unit was linked to a Samsung phone but I’m told it will work with anything that has AV out, although you might be needing an adapter. The manual focussed image can reach up to 50″ in size, and the battery will last for two to three hours. Not bad. A headphone-out socket completes the spec sheet.

There’s a picture of the screen below. The image size was 15″, and I have punched up the photo heavily in Lightroom so you can see something. The lights in the show booth were too bright for a demo, but the little MBP did an admirable job of trying.
